Terms
Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Soundroll website, music catalog, checkout pages, digital downloads, license documents, and related services.
By accessing this website, previewing music, purchasing a license, downloading files, or using any Soundroll track, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Website owner
This website is operated by Soundroll.
Soundroll is the professional name of Dmitry Lifshitz.
2. Purpose of the website
Soundroll provides original production music for licensing in videos, advertising, online content, podcasts, apps, games, TV, film, broadcast productions, and related media projects.
The website allows users to preview tracks, select a license type, complete payment, download licensed audio files, and receive license documentation.
3. Human-created music and no AI-generated tracks
All music tracks offered through Soundroll are original human-created music works by Soundroll.
Soundroll does not offer AI-generated music tracks on this website. No track in the Soundroll catalog is created by prompting an artificial intelligence music generator to produce the composition or master recording.
Soundroll may use standard music-production tools such as digital audio workstations, virtual instruments, synthesizers, samplers, effects, editing tools, mixing tools, mastering tools, and other normal production tools as part of the human music-production process. Use of these tools does not make the tracks AI-generated.
Soundroll does not grant permission for the licensed music to be used for artificial intelligence training, machine-learning datasets, generative AI systems, audio-model training, or similar data-processing uses.
4. Music previews
Music previews on the website are provided only for evaluation purposes.
You may listen to previews to decide whether a track is suitable for your project.
You may not copy, download, extract, record, redistribute, upload, publish, sell, register, monetize, or otherwise use preview audio unless you have purchased a valid license.
5. License purchase
A purchase gives you a non-exclusive license to use the selected Soundroll track according to the license tier purchased.
By purchasing a license, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions and the usage rights of the selected license tier.
A purchase does not transfer ownership of the music, copyright, master recording, composition, publishing rights, neighboring rights, trademarks, artist name, catalog rights, or any other intellectual property rights.
All rights not expressly granted remain owned or controlled by Soundroll.
6. License tiers
Personal License
The Personal License allows use in personal videos, student projects, personal social media content, personal YouTube videos, and monetized YouTube videos created for your own channel. It does not allow client work, paid advertising, brand campaigns, company use, corporate videos, apps, games, resale, sublicensing, TV, radio, film, or broadcast productions.
Commercial License
The Commercial License is for client work, company use, branded content, paid advertising, corporate videos, podcasts, apps, games, product videos, business marketing, and other commercial online uses beyond personal creator content.
The Commercial License does not allow TV broadcast, radio broadcast, cinema release, theatrical release, major film distribution, streaming-platform productions requiring cue sheets, or other professional broadcast use unless expressly approved or covered by a Broadcast License.
Broadcast License
The Broadcast License allows use in TV, radio, film, streaming-platform productions, documentaries, trailers, theatrical productions, broadcast advertising, and other productions requiring cue sheet information.
Broadcast License purchases include cue sheet information for the licensed track.
Broadcast users are responsible for filing accurate cue sheets with the relevant broadcaster, network, production company, collection society, or music reporting system.
7. License documentation
After purchase, the buyer receives a license document or license PDF showing relevant purchase and license information.
A license document may include:
- Buyer name
- Buyer email
- Order number
- Purchase date
- Track title
- License type
- Price paid
- Composer: Dmitry Lifshitz
- Legal rights holder: Dmitry Lifshitz / Soundroll
- PRO / IPI / CAE: 00585908696
- PRO Affiliation: ACUM
- Content ID status
- Usage terms
- Cue sheet information when applicable
The license document is proof of permission to use the licensed track according to the purchased license tier.
8. Delivery of files
After successful payment, the buyer receives access to the licensed audio file.
The standard deliverable is a WAV file unless otherwise stated.
Preview MP3 files are not the licensed master files.
Stems, alternate versions, loops, edits, and custom versions are not included unless expressly stated or agreed separately in writing.
Stems may be available by request for some tracks, but availability is not guaranteed.
9. YouTube Content ID and claims
Soundroll tracks may be registered with YouTube Content ID or similar rights-management systems.
A Content ID claim does not mean your use is illegal if you purchased a valid license.
If a claim appears, use your order receipt or license document as proof of valid licensed use.
For claim-clearance support, use the contact page and include:
- Order number
- Track title
- License type
- Video URL
- Your name and email used for purchase
Soundroll will make reasonable efforts to help clear valid licensed uses. Claim-clearance timing may depend on third-party platforms and rights-management systems.
10. PRO, ACUM, and cue sheets
Soundroll tracks may be registered with a performing rights organization.
Composer: Dmitry Lifshitz
PRO Affiliation: ACUM
PRO / IPI / CAE: 00585908696
Broadcast users, production companies, networks, and broadcasters are responsible for submitting cue sheets where required.
The license fee does not waive public performance royalties, neighboring rights royalties, broadcaster reporting obligations, or any legal obligations handled through performing rights organizations.
11. Restrictions
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, share, give away, upload, or transfer the music as standalone audio.
- Register the music, composition, master recording, or any derivative version with Content ID, YouTube Content ID, Facebook Rights Manager, TikTok rights management, fingerprinting systems, music-recognition systems, or similar platforms.
- Register the music with any performing rights organization, collection society, music library, stock marketplace, distributor, publisher, or rights-management company as your own work.
- Claim authorship, ownership, publishing rights, neighboring rights, or master rights in the music.
- Use the music to create competing music-library products, stock music products, sample packs, templates, loops, music datasets, or AI training datasets.
- Use the music for machine-learning training, AI model training, dataset creation, audio fingerprint dataset creation, generative AI training, or similar data-processing uses.
- Sell or distribute the music as part of an isolated audio product, soundtrack album, music pack, sample library, NFT, blockchain asset, or downloadable audio collection.
- Use the music in unlawful, defamatory, hateful, pornographic, fraudulent, misleading, or rights-infringing content.
- Use the music in a way that suggests Soundroll endorses a product, person, political campaign, religious movement, organization, or claim without written permission.
12. Editing and synchronization
You may edit, cut, loop, fade, mix, and synchronize the licensed track with your project as needed.
You may not create a substantially new music track, remix, song, beat, or competing audio product from the licensed track.
You may not isolate elements of the track for resale, redistribution, sampling, training, or separate commercial use.
13. Non-exclusive license
All Soundroll licenses are non-exclusive.
Soundroll may continue to license the same track to other customers.
Purchasing a license does not remove the track from the catalog and does not give the buyer exclusive rights.
Exclusive licenses are not included unless agreed separately in writing.
14. Payments
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers, including Lemon Squeezy or other available checkout providers.
Payment providers may collect payment details, tax information, billing details, and transaction information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Soundroll does not directly store full credit-card details.
Prices may be shown in USD, ILS, or another available currency depending on the checkout provider and store settings.
Prices may change at any time, but changes do not affect completed purchases.
15. Taxes
Taxes, VAT, sales tax, and similar charges may be calculated and collected by the payment processor or merchant of record during checkout.
The buyer is responsible for providing accurate billing information.
Soundroll is not responsible for incorrect tax treatment caused by inaccurate customer information.
16. Refunds
Because Soundroll sells digital music licenses and downloadable files, all sales are generally final once the files or license documents have been delivered.
Refunds may be considered in limited cases, including:
- Duplicate purchase
- Technical failure preventing access to the purchased file
- Incorrect charge
- Other cases required by applicable law
Refund requests must be sent through the contact page with the order number, buyer email, track title, and reason for the request.
Refund approval is not guaranteed.
If a refund is issued, the license is cancelled, and the buyer must stop using the track and delete all downloaded files unless otherwise required by law.
17. Customer responsibility
The buyer is responsible for choosing the correct license tier.
If your project requires a higher license tier than the one purchased, you must upgrade or purchase the correct license before using the track in that project.
The buyer is responsible for ensuring that use of the music complies with the purchased license, applicable laws, platform rules, broadcaster requirements, and client requirements.
18. Account, checkout, and delivery errors
Soundroll will make reasonable efforts to keep the website, checkout, delivery system, and license system working.
However, Soundroll does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of every track.
If a download link fails or a license document does not appear, use the contact page and include your order number.
19. Availability of tracks
Soundroll may add, remove, update, rename, replace, or modify tracks, metadata, previews, pricing, license terms, and website content at any time.
A completed purchase remains valid according to the license terms in effect at the time of purchase.
20. No legal, broadcast, or platform guarantee
Soundroll provides music licenses and related documentation.
Soundroll does not guarantee that every platform, broadcaster, distributor, advertiser, client, or rights-management system will automatically accept a license document without review.
Soundroll does not guarantee specific monetization results, platform approval, ad approval, broadcast approval, or claim-clearance speed.
21. Intellectual property
All music, previews, recordings, compositions, titles, metadata, artwork, website design elements, text, branding, and related materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing on the website may be copied, reproduced, redistributed, scraped, indexed for commercial reuse, or used to build a competing catalog without written permission.
22. Website use
You may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the website, scrape large amounts of data, bypass security, interfere with downloads, reverse engineer the delivery system, or use automated tools in a way that harms the website or business.
23. Third-party services
The website may use third-party services for payments, hosting, analytics, email delivery, checkout, downloads, and other technical functions.
Soundroll is not responsible for third-party service outages, errors, fees, policies, or account decisions.
24. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soundroll is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the website, music, licenses, downloads, payment systems, Content ID claims, platform decisions, or third-party services.
Soundroll’s total liability for any claim related to a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the relevant license.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
25. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Soundroll and Dmitry Lifshitz from claims, damages, losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the music, breach of these Terms, incorrect license selection, unauthorized redistribution, false rights claims, Content ID registration, PRO registration, unlawful use, or violation of third-party rights.
26. Termination of license
Soundroll may terminate a license if the buyer breaches these Terms, misuses the track, redistributes files, registers the music with rights-management systems, makes false ownership claims, violates restrictions, or uses the music outside the purchased license tier.
After termination, the buyer must stop using the track and remove it from all projects where legally and practically possible.
27. Changes to these Terms
Soundroll may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on the website with a new “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the website after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
Completed purchases remain governed by the license terms applicable at the time of purchase unless the updated terms are required by law or are more favorable to the buyer.
28. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts in Israel, unless mandatory law requires a different venue.
